As the interlocutor of the European institutions and national governments, the CPMR (Conference of Peripheral Maritime Regions of Europe) has, since 1973, ensured that the needs and interests of its member regions are taken into account concerning all policies with a strong territorial impact. In particular, the CPMR strives for a strong European regional policy for all regions of Europe and simultaneously towards the implementation of an integrated maritime policy, which can contribute to economic growth in Europe.
To express themselves spontaneously, CPMR, the interlocutor of the Peripheral Maritime Regions of Europe, occasionally uses translators and interpreters at its international conferences.
