EXHIBITION: Cambodia, The Memory Workshop: Artworks by Vann Nath, Séra, and Emerging Cambodian Artists

In connection with the conference on Creation and Post-Memory, there will be an art exhibition (April 10-May 4, 2013), also at Columbia University (Columbia Maison Française and Italian Academy for Advanced Studies), devoted to three generations of Cambodian artists: the painter Vann Nath – one of seven survivors of the S-21 concentration camp –, painter and comic book author Séra, and emerging artists invited to create artworks evoking the genocide during three "memory workshops" held in Cambodia between 2008 and 2012.
Two Locations of exhibit:
Columbia Maison Francaise, East Gallery, Buell Hall, Campus entrance at Broadway and 116th st.
Works by Vann Nath and Séra**Exhibit opening April 10, 6-8 p.m. Performance by Séra at 6:30 p.m. RSVP required for opening, information coming soon.
The Maison Francaise will be used for the related conference April 10-12 (RSVP required). Exhibit open for public viewing April 13-May 4. Generally open Mondays-Fridays, 12-5:30 p.m., plus first and last Saturdays (April 13 and May 4, 12-5:30 p.m.). Please check back here for any exceptions or changes to this schedule.

An inaugural event will be held on April 10, 2013 from 6-8pm at Columbia University. This event is free, and open to the public.
